Spill Absorbents
Spillbusters Ltd offer a range of 100% natural and environmentally friendly absorbents which include UltraZorb Peat fibre, Spillfix Coir fibre and Mineral Sponge granules mined here in New Zealand. The absorbent fibre and granules are available in 3kg to 25kg bags, we also supply absorbent pillows, pads, rolls, socks and floating booms to help assist in the clean up of hydrocarbons, oil, diesel, petrol and chemical spills. This range of products is commonly used on construction and roading projects and provides ideal protection in the event of spill seepage of vehicles, machinery, barriers for stormwater drains and water ways.
Loose Absorbents
General Purpose Absorbent Peat Fibre
UltraZorb is a general purpose absorbent fibre for absorbing and cleaning up industrial spills and waste including oil spills, diesel, hydraulic fluid, alcohols, aromatics, carbonyl compounds paints, polymers, insecticides, herbicides and heavy metals which are hydrocarbon based pollutants. UltraZorb is 100% natural sphagnum peat moss harvested and dried in New Zealand.
It encapsulates the spill and will not leach, leak or discharge. It can be incinerated or disposed of in landfills (check local council for advice). Absorbs 3-4 times its weight in spills (NB: Absorbency rates vary depending on the liquid being absorbed. Can be used on land and water to absorb spilled chemicals and hydrocarbons.

Mineral Sponge - 22L Bag (SKM22-SB)
Mineral Sponge is made from Zeolite a naturally occurring volcanic mineral that has a 3D-lattice structure giving it a large internal surface area. Mineral Sponge will absorb up to 75% of its own weight of liquid. Fumes and odours are also suppressed by Mineral Sponge. Non-toxic. Non-hazardous.Natural product.
22L bag weighs approximately 15Kg and will absorb up to 16L of spilled material.

These polypropylene pads are specifically treated to absorb hydrocarbons such as oil, petrol, and diesel while repelling water. Ideal for use in smaller spills under machinery or leaking taps. Pads are thermally bonded with a dimpled surface which makes the job quick and easy for cleaning up. Can order by the pad or carton.

Universal Absorbent Pads
Heavy weight universal absorbent pads can be used with all liquid spills including oils, fuels, solvents, liquid chemicals and bodily fluids. Constructed from polypropylene, thermally bonded with dimpled surface to allow fast wicking and easy clean up.
Cartons have a perforated opening that allows cartons to be quickly turned into a deck top dispenser.
